The Changelings were liquid shapeshifting lifeforms native to the Gamma Quadrant of the Milky Way Galaxy in Star Trek. They were the creators and rulers of the Dominion, whose subject races knew them as the semi-mythical Founders. Most Changelings existed as an amalgamated mass known as the Great Link.
