A drone or unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is an aircraft without any human pilot, crew or passengers on board. They are remotely-piloted and have degrees of autonomy, ranging from autopilot assistance to fully autonomous using AI.
Their applications include aerial photography, product deliveries, agriculture, policing and surveillance, infrastructure inspections, science and hobby-based entertainment. Laser weapons can be mounted and they can be used in direct or covert military operations.
