Humans are a sentient species, native to the planet Earth in the Babylon 5 Universe. They are the majority of the Earth Alliance populace. They achieved interstellar flight in 2156, through contact with the Centauri. They established themselves as an interstellar power by defeating the Dilgar, coming to the aid of the League of Non-Aligned Worlds. They are part of the Younger Races who are young in relation to the First Ones.
By the year 1,000,000, the human race has evolved into a species of pure energy, similar to some of the First Ones. No longer bound to a single form, they are able to transform back and forth between a physical body and an energy form. By this time, humans have taken to wearing encounter suits, much like the Vorlons before them.
