The Kilrathi are a race of warlike, feline aliens native to the planet Kilrah in the Wing Commander Universe. Forming the Kilrathi Empire, they engaged in several expansion and imperialistic wars against other races, including the humans of the Terran Confederation.
The Kilrathi refer to themselves as the Firstborn or Sons of Kilrah. Humans refer to them derogatorily as "cats" or "furballs".
They were primarily a hated faceless enemy, but eventually some conspired to form allegiances with humans.
